Germicidal Air Chamber with Down Light
The UVFocus GAB-C provides combines airborne disinfection with energy efficient LED down lighting in a 2x2 or 2x4 grid ceiling. The rear of the GAB-C is a germicidal air chamber that utilizes 254nm T8 UVC lamps to provide anti-viral and anti-bacterial disinfection. Air is pulled into the chamber via three center fans. Inside the chamber, air is dosed with UVC, which works to kill or inactivate airborne pathogens including viruses, bacteria, fungi, yeast and molds. Cleansed air is then recirculated back into the room. Because the UVC light is confined in the rear chamber, there is no exposure to the room below, making the GAB-C perfectly safe to use in occupied spaces. UVC at 254nm is effective against viruses and bacteria - including MRSA, C. Difficile, Salmonella, E. Coli - as well as mold, fungus, and odors. On the front of the GAB-C, two rows of energy efficient LEDs provide general illumination into the space below. A version without the down light is available - the GAB.
Note: UVFocus products are designed utilizing proven germicidal and antibacterial technology. UVC 254nm products work to deactivate most common viruses (as well as bacteria, molds and yeasts), and 405nm near-UV products are shown to substantially reduce bacterial presence. While these products can be considered disinfecting products, they should be used in conjunction with standard, proper disinfecting cleaning procedures to have the greatest impact for maintaining a clean environment. Construction
The GAB-C features an aluminum housing with white powder coat finish. The germicidal chamber is constructed of durable aluminum. Inside the chamber, UVC reflective material is utilized to enhance energy fluence for rapid neutralization of pathogens. The lens is constructed of proprietary polycarbonate.
